The famous alpine meadow beneath Nanga Parbat, reached by 4x4 and a short walk.
One of the most dramatic drives anywhere, followed by an hour on foot through pine forest to the meadow itself. We arrange the jeep, the driver and the permits; you bring the camera. Full day, leaving around six in the morning.
Before you go
Carry more water than you think you need — the air is very dry.
Sun at altitude is fierce even when it is cold. Hat and sunscreen.
Layers. Mornings can be near freezing and afternoons warm.
Signal is patchy. Tell reception your plan before you leave.
Weather decides. We will tell you honestly the evening before if
conditions mean a trip is not worth doing. Nothing is charged if we call it off.
